GID is investigating the possibility that the explosives used in the attack may have been smuggled into Jordan by Iranian diplomats. The attack in Amman is also believed to have been carried out in a style similar to the Tehran assassination by local al-Qaeda supporters. In a related matter, Iran's Interior minister on Monday vowed to avenge Muhammadi's death.
